In this guide, we will discover: How to Create and Erase an Alarm in Windows 11 – guide 2023
Alarms are usually linked to getting you up in the morning, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use them for other occasions. Maybe you need to take something out of the oven in 30 minutes or need to go pick someone up. There are many reasons for an alarm and many devices where you can set them up. You can set the alarm using your Windows 11 computer, iPhone, iPad, and Android device. You can set up multiple alarms and edit them to go off at the right time. Changes can be made anytime, just in case anything changes in your schedule.
How to Create an Alarm in Windows 11
You’ll need to open the clock app to create your first alarm. To do this, press the Windows + S key; in the search bar, type clock and open it. When the app opens, click on the Alarm icon in the shape of a bell.
One alarm will already be created, but it’ll be turned off. You can use this one, or if you want to create an alarm from scratch, you’ll need to click on the plus icon at the bottom right.
How to Edit Your Alarm
When the alarm appears, you’ll need to set the time, but remember that you can set the time by clicking on the arrows at the top and bottom. Or, you can click on the hours and use the number pad to set it. Click on the alarm name box to give your alarm a title that’ll help you remember why you set it up in the first place. By clicking on the days of the week, you’ll repeat the alarm for those days.
You’ll also see an option to set the sound for the alarm. You can choose from different options such as:
You can select the sound, or you can click on the play button to get a preview of what your alarm will sound like.
How to Delete Alarms
Some alarms you keep, but others are only temporary. When it’s time to erase an alarm, click on the alarm, followed by the trash icon.
To erase alarms without opening them, you’ll need to click on the pencil icon at the bottom right, and the trash icon will appear on each alarm. When you’ve erased all the alarms you need to, click on the checkmark icon at the bottom right. If you want to disable the alarm and not erase it, you can toggle it off and on using the button at the top right of each alarm.
That’s all there is to it when it comes to creating, erasing, and editing the alarms you create. If you would like the alarm to have a different style and maybe even offer other features, you can always go to the Microsoft Store and search for alarms. You’ll find a large variety for you to choose from.
As mentioned before, there are many other devices where you can also set alarms. For example, here are four great alarms apps you can add to your Android device. And, for those times when you’re not happy with the alarm sounds your device provides, you can always record and add custom audio. Don’t forget to use the search bar for more reading material.
Installing another app to set the alarm is unnecessary since your Windows 11 computer always has one. It has all the features you would expect from an alarm app, such as setting the time, date, sound, etc. You can set various alarms, and erasing them is also easy. It may not be the prettiest app, but it does the job. If you prefer a different style, hopefully, you can find one you like in the Microsoft Store. How many alarms do you usually set?
